Volunteer Speaker Disclosure & Agreement

Please read, complete, and sign prior to your scheduled presentation.

1. VOLUNTEER STATUS & NO COMPENSATION

The Speaker confirms that participation in this HREXCC program is entirely voluntary. The Speaker acknowledges that no monetary compensation, gifts, reciprocal benefit, or expectation of future benefit will be provided by HREXCC in exchange for this presentation.


2. CONTENT ACCURACY & PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY

The Speaker represents and warrants that all content presented is accurate, current, and based on the Speaker's professional knowledge and expertise. The Speaker agrees to:

•      Ensure all information is up to date as of the presentation date.

•      Clearly distinguish between established law or regulation and personal opinion or interpretation.

•      Notify HREXCC promptly if any material inaccuracy is identified before or after the presentation.


3. NOT LEGAL ADVICE

The Speaker acknowledges and agrees that all content presented through HREXCC programs is for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing presented shall constitute legal advice, legal counsel, or the establishment of an attorney-client relationship between the Speaker and any attendee. Speakers who are licensed attorneys must clearly communicate this limitation to attendees during their presentation.


4. INDEPENDENCE OF VIEWS

The views, opinions, and positions expressed by the Speaker are solely those of the Speaker and do not represent the official position, endorsement, or recommendation of HREXCC, its board, council members, or affiliates. HREXCC does not independently verify the accuracy of speaker content.


5. CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURE

The Speaker agrees to disclose any financial interest, business affiliation, or personal relationship with any product, service, organization, or vendor referenced during the presentation. Please indicate below:

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & RECORDING AUTHORIZATION

The Speaker grants HREXCC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to record, archive, promote, and distribute the presentation and related materials through HREXCC's website, social media, and membership communications. The Speaker confirms that all content is original, properly licensed, or otherwise authorized for use, and that presentation materials do not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party.


7. CODE OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT

The Speaker agrees to maintain conduct consistent with HREXCC's commitment to professionalism, respect, and inclusivity. Content that is discriminatory, defamatory, harassing, or otherwise inconsistent with professional standards will not be permitted. HREXCC reserves the right to remove a speaker from a program for failure to comply with this standard.


8. INDEMNIFICATION

The Speaker agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HREXCC, its officers, directors, council members, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from the Speaker's presentation, submitted materials, or breach of this Agreement.


9. HRCI RECERTIFICATION CREDIT ACKNOWLEDGMENT

If HREXCC submits this program for HRCI recertification credit, the Speaker agrees to provide accurate program descriptions, learning objectives, and supporting documentation as requested. The Speaker confirms the content aligns with the HRCI Body of Knowledge domain(s) indicated in the Speaker Submission Form.


ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By signing below, the Speaker confirms they have read, understand, and agree to the terms of this Volunteer Speaker Disclosure and Agreement. The Speaker acknowledges this is a binding commitment and agrees to fulfill their speaking obligation as scheduled or provide HREXCC with a minimum of 14 days notice if cancellation is necessary.

Electronic Signature Authorization

The Speaker agrees that an electronic signature, whether submitted via digital form, email confirmation, or electronic signature platform, shall be deemed legally valid and binding to the same extent as a handwritten signature.


By submitting this form electronically or clicking an acknowledgment button, the Speaker consents to the use of electronic signatures in connection with this Agreement in accordance with the California Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (California Civil Code Section 1633.1 et seq.) and the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN Act, 15 U.S.C. Section 7001 et seq.).
